Past Updates - Page 2
Friday, 2/28/03
- Hola everyone! I come
today with some odd news, both good and bad. In a few
days, the Temple O' Trunks will be celebrating it's
5-year anniversary! That's right, this thing has been
online for 5 years now. I have some pretty major things
in store for this huge occasion. For example, I have
already begun revamping the entire website. What
does this mean? Well, a completely new layout, for one
thing! I must say, it's looking pretty hot right now.
Also, since the current setup of the ToT has
nothing resembling a site structure (i.e.: proper organization,
folders, etc.), I'll be re-doing everything in terms
of site organization. This will take the most time,
since I'll have to re-format and re-link everything
in the ToT... and since there are hundreds upon hundreds
of pages on this site, that'll be a trying task. :)
So, that's the good.
Now for the BAD. The hosting for this site on dbcollection.com
is about to run up, so I'll be moving the site, so there
will be a bit of downtime. The plus side to this is
that I'll be FINALLY using my www.templeotrunks.com
URL for the first time since I've bought the domain
name 2 years ago. The URL is now live, and I'll be moving
the entire site there in a matter of days. Please spread
the word that the new URL for the ToT is going to be
www.templeotrunks.com.
If anything goes wrong with the move, and you want to
find out about the status of the ToT, go to Daizenshuu
EX for more info (oh yeah, and participate in
his new contests, too!)
In summary, stay tuned
for the all-new, all-different ToT, which will be fully
live at the new URL in a few days. Thanks for all the
help over the years here at dbcollection, Tapion!
Monday, 2/17/03
- Sorry for the lack of updates. I actually wanted to
update days ago, but the server was being wonky, and
wouldn't let me upload any files. But, now I can, so
on with the goodies! And trust me, there's LOTS today.
Since there's kinda a mad blizzard hitting the Northeast,
I have no classes today, so I can be lazy and do sitely
stuff. Joy!
- First up, I've made 65 images of Trunks from DBZ Movie
7 (known as "Super Android 13!" in the FUNi
release) and posted them in the Trunks
Screencaps section, brining the total number
of Trunks screencaps on this site to 777! Whoa! You
can find the hot movie 7 screencaps here
and here. I
ripped these images directly off of the DVD (rather
than captured through a video card) so these images
are as high quality as they come. Check 'em out, they're
the coolness!
- Mine and VegettoEX's
(Mike) newest music video, "Redemption"
(to the anime "Rurouni Kenshin") debuted
at the Katsucon
anime convention Friday night. Now, it's available
for download! It's a mere 1:00 minute long, and is only
15 MB, so please check it out! If you watch the TV show
"Angel" (the "Buffy" spinoff), you'll
get the parody we're making in this video. If not, it's
still a fun watch! It's just a silly action video. Enjoy!
You can find this video in the Non-DBZ
Anime Music Videos page. For the full production
notes on this music video, please
go here.
- I made a small addition to the Special
Features page, contain a scan I took from Suncoast
Video's "Request" magazine, in which they
pick the top 10 deaths in Dragonball Z, to commemorate
the series' end in March. A lot of the info is a bit
off, but it's a interesting read.
- If you haven't heard it already (and I'm sure you
have), FUNi has gone and made a whole new theme song
for Dragonball GT. You can download the song here:
http://www.dragonballgt.com/what_gt/230web.mp3
In addition, FUNi
is also holding a contest where you can sing
the crappy new song (see above link), send it in to
them on video, and then they pick the winners to feature
as extras on a future DVD release. I think the idea
that Mike has on his site, Daizenshuu
EX, is a great one! He suggests that instead
of sending in a video of you singing the new song, you
should tape yourself singing the ORIGINAL DBGT theme,
"DAN DAN," and send that to FUNi. For more
info on this lil' project, please check out Mike's site,
where you can find the lyrics to 'DAN DAN" as well
as a full-CD quality MP3 of the karaoke version of the
song. While I don't think this'll change FUNi's mind
about using their own new theme song for the show, I'm
sure a bunch of tapes with fans singing the real song
will show them how fans really feel... and it'll help
clutter their mailboxes. :P
- I've taken some time out to update the FAQ,
considering it was very out-of-date. :)
Saturday, 2/1/03
- Happy weekend, peoples! Last week, the spring
semester started for me, garr! Regardless, I'm gonna
try and keep doing weekly updates. This is a good segway
into a new topic I want to address regarding the ToT!
I have a big huge project for the site planned (I actually
began it during the summer and kind of abanndoned it).
Now I that have nearly every DVD that Trunks is in,
I am going to go through the entire Trunks
Screencaps section, and begin replacing the
old VHS/fansub screencaps with new, ulta high-quality
images. However, I'm going to go about this in a way
that, as far as I know, no others sites do (in terms
of taking screencaps). Rather than input DVD player
video into my computer and capture images, I am ripping
the DBZ DVDs directly on to my computer. With the raw
footage available to me, I can export specific frames
of Trunks, and save them as image files. Essentially,
what I will be adding are the most pure form of screencaps.
This will be a HUGE project, considering I have 700+
screencaps, but I think it will be worth it. To start
off, I have completely revamped the "Trunks TV
Special" (aka: "History of Trunks") portion
of the Trunks Screencaps
section. Now, there are 115 DVD-ripped images here,
here, here,
and here. Hope
you like them! Next, I will be re-making the screencaps
from Trunks' first appearance.
- Pluggage time! Daizenshuu
EX is now sporting a full tracklist for the
new DBZ CD boxset coming out in Japan. Check it out!
The site also has some brand new, super-rare MP3s up,
as well as a new DBZ music video.
Saturday, 1/25/03
- They said it would never happen. They said it couldn't
be done. But they were wrong! Today, I am honored to
announce the bold return of one of the oldest, largest,
and possibly most notorious of all DBZ fan sites, Daizenshuu
EX! That's right, my man Mike LaBrie is back
in full effect, and he's brought some friends with him
along for the ride. Nowadays, people like to proclaim
that the DBZ web community is dying/dead, and such.
While things may not be as they once were, the return
of this landmark site proves maybe things aren't as
"dead" as people may think. As the girlfriend
of VegettoEX himself (wow, that sounds silly!), I can
vouch for how much work has gone into Daizenshuu
EX over the last year. On the new version of
the site, you can find the largest Dragonball music
database ever made. In addition, there is a plethora
of kick-ass DB song lyrics, completely romanized with
wonderful line-by-line translations (courtesy of Julian
Grybowski, formerly of Planet Namek), music downloads,
music videos, guides, and much more. And this is only
the beginning. Much of the old content is not yet online,
but it will be in the coming weeks, so stay tuned to
one of the best DBZ sites of all time, Daizenshuu
EX, for more stuff! If you have a web site,
please help in announcing this site's return to the
fold. It hasn't been the same without ya, Mikey. :)
- OK, time to get to some actual content. You know Dragonball
Z has hit the mainstream when it gets mentioned in the
cult-favorite and critically acclaimed TV show (and
my own personal favorite TV show), "Buffy the Vampire
Slayer." On Tuesday's (1/21/03) new episode of
the series (season 7, episode 12, "Potential"),
the nerdy character (and former wanna-be super-villain)
Andrew expresses an interest to go on the latest Buffy
mission. The rest of the Scoobies are convinced that
he's still evil, but he tries to prove otherwise by
saying:
"But I'm reformed. I'm like Vegeta
from Dragonball Z! I used to be a pure Saiyan, and now
I fight on the side of Goku!"
,and then proceeds to ask Dawn (once everyone
else leaves him in the dust), "You wanna play Dragonball
Z?". Well, the scene may be incorrect in its assumption
that Vegeta is no longer a full-blooded Saiyan, but
it's the thought that counts! The writers of the show
kick ass for making a DBZ reference. :) I doubled over
in laughter when I heard this on Buffy! It's like my
two worlds are colliding! Too funny. So, for your own
viewing amusement, I have encoded this scene for you
to download.
**DOWNLOAD**- DBZ mentioned on "Buffy the Vampire
Slayer" - 5.7 MB, 0:51 seconds, MPEG-1 format
You can also find this clip in the Special
Features page.
Sunday, 1/19/03
- Well, a week has come and gone, and sadly, it is time
for me to end my hosting of the old music videos ;_;.
Hope you were able to get what you wanted during this
time. Remember, if you missed out on downloading all
the old files, my old music videos will be available
to get on CD for free in the very near future. More
details to come soon.
- In terms of goodly Trunks content, please check out
the Trunks Screencaps
section for my latest batch of 17
Mirai Trunks DVD-captured images!
Sunday, 1/12/03
- As promised, I was able to put up nearly all
of my old music videos
for download! There are some videos I didn't put back
online, and here is why: they're so bad, I just didn't
want to upload them, and I didn't put up multiple versions
of the same video. For example, if you want to see "Heart
of Sword," you'd get Version 4, not 1. Just a reminder,
all of the truly old DBZ videos can be found in Archived
Music Videos, videos made to other animes are
in Non-DBZ Music Videos,
and somewhat recent videos are in the main Music
Videos page. Just remember that I will only
be hosting these old videos for a few days. After
this, the only way you will be able to get these videos
is to get them on CD for free (I haven't set this up
yet, but I will within the next couple of days). So,
if you don't want to go through the hassle of that,
I suggest you download what you want now. Hopefully
this will stop people from asking me to put up the old
videos. :P Enjoy! Oh yeah, and get my new music video
,"Has
Anyone Seen My Underwear?", while you're
at it!
Saturday, 1/11/03
- Tada! I have a new music
video to debut! It's called "Has
Anyone Seen My Underwear?" to the anime
Chobits. It's a light sexual comedy video, so view at
your own risk. By sexual, I mean the video is all about
a blonde "Persocom" (or humaniod computer)
named Chii, and her quest to find panties to wear, since
she is either too dumb or doesn't desire to wear any
in the first place. This is a very short video (under
a minute), and is a small file size (compared to my
other MPEG files), so I hope you'll download it, and
maybe even like it! For a full description of
this video, please
- Now available for your viewing pleasure are 37
new Mirai Trunks Screencaps! Since they were
captured from DVDs, they look damn good. You can find
them in the Screencaps section.
- Last update, I mentioned that Newtype USA anime magazine
mentioned my site. Thanks to Klenta, I now have a scan
of this article I put on the site! However, interestingly
enough, I found out that it wasn't the ToT they mentioned
in the mag, but my other site/tutorial, "A
Newbie's Guide to Making Anime Music Videos".
You can find a scan of the article, as well as the Beckett
mag mention, in the Special
Features page.
- If you're interested in seeing all y old archived
DBZ and non-DBZ music videos, then this info is for
you. VERY IMPORTANT NEWS!!! Starting tomorrow, I will
be putting back all of my old music videos back online!!
I will be hosting them only for a few days, so
if you want to snatch up these oldie videos, you'd better
stay tuned to this site, because I don't plan on putting
them back online any time soon. If you miss out on getting
these videos, then you will have to go through the effort
of getting them all on CD for free. Got it? Good!
Wednesday, 1/8/03
- Happy New Year, everyone! Hope you're having a
great one so far! I'm still on winter break, so I'm
still chillin', whee! Well actually I'm supposed to
be working and/or working on a new music video, but
I'm sure I'll get around to it. :P I'm gonna go into
some self-indulgent babble to say what's been going
on with me. I finished up the first semester of my senior
year at Rutgers University with a 3.9 GPA (yep, I'm
a senior now!!), I'll be turning 22 this month, this
site will turn 5 years old this year, and I'm just having
an all around good time. Now for some quickie updates.
- I hate to do this part, cuz it always ends up in me
saying "nooo, THAT one's gone!?", but I've
had to do some cleaning and prunning, so I've cleared
up all the Links sections.
I got rid of all dead sites (and sadly, there were a
LOT of them this time around), updated links, and added
a couple of new ones.
- Holy cheese doodles, someone sent me a new editorial!
Therefore, I've posted it to the Enlightened
Ones
page.
- Quick announcement, The
Misadventures of Bejita, a site sporting tons
of hilarious fan manga, is back online!
- This is actually quite old, but I kinda forgot to
mention it. The ToT was mentioned in Beckett Magazine
a few issues back. Check
out this picture! Awww, now don't I feel famous?
I heard my site was also mentioned in "Newtype,
USA" vol. 1, issue 1, but I have yet to see it.
If someone wants to scan a pic of the link and email
it to me, that would be awesome of you! I heard it was
on page 175 or something.
- For anyone who is interested, I've added alllll of
my old music videos to my profile
on animemusicvideos.org.
These entires now feature all-new descriptions about
old videos. I've been getting TONS of emails lately
regarding putting my old RealVideo archived music videos
back on the site. That ain't gonna happen for a number
of reasons. First being, they suck! Second, they're
crappy quality. Thirdly and most importantly, I need
the web space to host all my new videos. But don't despair!
I plan on putting all my old videos on CD, and then
you can get them for free. I haven't done this yet,
but when I do, I'll post it here on the main page.
- Next update: new music video to the anime "Chobits,"
as well as hopefully a butt-load of new Mirai Trunks
screencaps!
Sunday, 12/22/02
- Added 30 DVD Chibi
Trunks Screencaps to the Trunks
Screencaps section!
- Here's a bit of randomness to follow up with on my
previous update, as the information just became available.
You can order the DDR
Project II DVD here, however, they won't be
resuming orders until December 29. Stay tuned to that
site if you wanna get the DVD while supplies last. BTW,
if you forgot what the DDR Project II is, I'll refresh
your memory. My "Smoke:
DDR Project 2, track 7 - Rurouni Kenshin"
music video was part of this project. In the project,
a soundtrack from one of the Dance Dance Revolution
games is used (in this case, 2nd Mix). Each music video
creator gets a track from the CD, picks an anime, and
does a music video to it. the result is an hour long
music video. That's that! So yeah, the above link is
where you can eventually get the project in all of it's
DVD glory. :)
Friday, 12/20/02
- Long time, no update! I know, I've been so awful.
Actually, there is a reason for this. The password for
the server changed, and I wasn't aware of it, so I wasn't
able to get into my ToT account, but now I know, and
here I am, and I shant bore you with the details. But,
it feels good to be back!! I have a few spiffy things
to mention, and a few not so spiffy things, but in the
end, it'll all work out.
- First up is the addition of the annual ToT Holiday
goodies package: the DBZ
Winter Holiday Stuff! This section of the site
is only up during the holiday season, so check it out
while you still can. Here, you'll find fanart and fanfics
all with wintery season-themed goodness featuring the
whole gang. Hope you enjoy it!
- Second, I've made two new music videos! However, one
of the videos will not premiere officially until the
Katsucon music
video contest, so that video will not be online until
February. The other video I made is a short comedy bit,
but I still want to edit it some more before debuting
it here. Basically, in order to make room for these
new videos, I'll have to delete some of my older MPEGs
:(. For the time being, my Boys Be: "Chick Magnet,"
Sailor Moon: "Carry On Dancing (v.2)," and
KOR: "When It's Only Me and the Music," music
videos will not be online. I apologize for this, especially
since I keep getting e-mails from people asking to see
the old OLD RealVideo versions of music videos from
1999-2000. However, it turns out that I might have a
friend host some of my older videos starting in January,
so they may not be lost forever. So, please be patient
with me, and hopefully all the old videos will be online
again next month. Just understand that I need to make
room for my newer work, and I can't keep hogging up
this web space. On the plus side, my Utena
music video, "Liberation of Memories Past,"
is back online. :D
- In terms of viewing my music videos, there is an alternative!
If you have a slow Internet connection, and don't like
to download the large MPEG files I have on the site,
or if you simply haven't seen them yet, you can now
get
my music videos on CD for free! By going to
RedWolf's AMV Distrobution site, you can request to
get my anime music videos on CD in MPEG format (collaborative
with VegettoEX's work, as well). Here's the list
of what videos are on my CD. In addition, here's
the full
list of other people's AMV CDs currently available
in the catalog. Some CDs that are available
are the fan-parody
"This is Otakudom," Scott
Melzer's (the creator of the "This is DBZ Life")
music videos, and the First
DDR Project. To make your music video CD requests,
go
here. Or, for more music video info in general,
go to Anime
Music Videos.org.
- Great news! The DDR2 Project
is now available on DVD! Problem is... the link to it
is now gone. O_o I'm not sure if the company pressing
the DVDs already sold out or what. In any case, I'll
post a link to the order form if it becomes available
again soon.
- I would now like to give a very special (and long
over-due) shout-out to my friend Leda-chan
and her new *very* twisted Trunks site, "A
Little Bit of Nasty, A Whole Lot of Trunks"!
Rock on, girl. :P
Wednesday, 10/2/02
- Me oh my, has it been two months since I've updated?
I think so. I'm a bad widdle girl. Sorry I've been neglecting
the site, I don't mean to! These last few months, I've
been busy with other activities... and the culmination
of these activities are now gonna be available on the
site! I've been heavily into anime music video editing
over the summer, and finally, my works debuted this
weekend at the AWA
8 anime convention. As a result, I can now post
my new music videos on the ToT, woo hoo!
- First up, is an interesting little project. Have you
ever heard of the DDR
Project? Well, you should! Basically, it's a
hour+ long music video, containing songs from Dance
Dance Revolution Non-stop Megamixes, using anime. A
different music video creator gets one track from the
CD, and then you get to pick an anime and do a music
video to it. I can't explain it all that well, so go
here to find out more about what this whole
project is. Well, this year, I was lucky enough to obtain
a track in this amazing project! This video was also
worked on with VegettoEX,
and well... it was pretty damn crazy. If you would like
to read the FULL story on the saga of this music video,
please click
here. As for the video itself, here it is: behold,
"Smoke:
DDR Project 2, track 7 - Rurouni Kenshin."
Dat's right, it's my first Kenshin music video! I hope
you like it. I sure as hell had fun making it. You can
download it using the direct link just listed, or read
about it in the Non-DBZ
Music Videos section. Stay tuned, as the entire
DDR2 Project will be available to obtain online very
soon. I'll post info on this as it develops. And, here's
a link to the full
track list of video creators, songs, and animes used
in the DDR2 Project.
- My next video is something very dear to me, and is
easily one of my favorite videos. Not only that, but
this video took home the award for "Best Character
Profile" in the Anime Music Video Professional
Contest at this year's Anime Weekend Atlanta convention.
It's called "Alone
in the World" to the anime Trigun. Wheee,
Trigun!! This too can also be found in the Non-DBZ
Music Videos section. To read the full, long-ass
description of the video, click
here. I also made this video with Mike, so this
video is our little baby (ewww, creepy!).
- That's pretty much that! I hope you will like the
Rurouni
Kenshin and Trigun
music videos. Lemme know what you think of them.
Soon, I hope to have new DBZ music videos, that will
be remaster versions of some older ones. Stay tuned!
- In other DBZ website news, I'm happy to announce the
return of one of my fave sites, DB
Kenkon! Welcome back, Monica. ^_^ Also, The
Next Dimension is back in business, as well!
And, believe it or not, expect Daizenshuu
EX to be online this week. No, really. :P
Saturday, 7/13/02
- Today, I've got a bunch of new, high-quality DBZ
Scans that I hope you will like. There are 22
new images up, so enjoy!
- Thanks to Leda-chan, the continuation of the "Newsflash:
Sex Scandal!?" story is now up in Trunks
Cartoons- Page 2. Heh, so sick and twisted...
Sunday, 6/23/02
- Hey peoples! I hope you're ready for a nice, big ToT
update, cuz I got one finally done and ready to post!
First up, I have finished "phase 2" of the
ToT renovation stuff I wanted to do! I have completely
re-done the DBZ Scans (found
in the Images section).
The scans are now organized by sagas, and by quality.
I also have 30 new images I want to add, but I think
I'll wait a few days to do that. :P This update took
a lot of energy out of me! I hope you now find this
section more enjoyable, and easier to navigate through.
- Next up, there's a buttload of Trunks
Doujinshi images that can be found on Page
2 of that section. That's it for now! Stay tuned
for more stuff soon.
Sunday, 6/9/02
- Thanks to TheCelestrian (thanks so much, dude!), I've
added four, amazingly huge and high-quality images of
Mirai Trunks
to Trunks Scans. Oh
hells yeah, you better believe these images are huge.
I apologize to those with slow connections, but trust
me, these pics are worth checking out!
- I went on my rounds of looking up some cool DBZ sites,
and so I've gone and added some of my new favorites
to the Links page.
- The new section I wanted to renovate isn't up this
weekend, cuz I've been busy with my summer class and
work. Maybe it'll be up this week, along with all the
old Archived DBZ Music Videos, which, to my surprise,
have a lot of demand. O_o Please....watch my newer work,
I beg of you! My old stuff is hella scary. :P But, since
people seem to want them, I will have 'em all back up
in a few days. Laters!
Sunday, 6/2/02
- I'm pleased to say that "phase 1" (as it
were) of my ToT renovation project is complete! I have
completely re-organized the Trunks
Scans section, making it easier to navigate
with a cleaner look. Also, I've added 17 new images
to the section, including some mighty fine Mirai
Trunks pics, and some severely adorable Chibi
Trunks images. Hope you like them! It may not
look like much, but it really took a long time to do,
and I hope you'll find this section more easy to view.
^^ I have two more sections on the site I want to re-do.
One of them should be done by next weekend, while the
other one will be a huge undertaking that should take
all summer long. But, I think it'll be worth it.
- The majority of the old, cruddy, ToT RealVideo Music
Videos in the Archived Music Videos section should be
up in a few days. :)
Friday, 5/24/02
- Ya know that collaborative music video I mentioned
in my last update? Well, it's done, and ready for viewing!
For this project, I got together with my partner in
crime, Mike "VegettoEX" LaBrie (ya remember,
that Daizenshuu EX
guy?). The last video we did together was exactly a
year ago for the "X-Men"
/ DBZ movie trailer. After months and months
of bouncing ideas back and forth, we finally had one
that clicked. Thus... a new anime movie trailer from
the two of us! If you wanna go download our new Music
Video, please check out the Non-DBZ
Music Videos section for... dun dun dun... "The
Professional", a Cowboy Bebop-based trailer
to the movie "Leon: The Professional." If
you would like to read our long-ass production notes
on the video, please click
here. We hope you like this thing! Lemme know
what ya think, if you feel like it. Expect more from
me/us very soon. :)
- I've been asked to advertise this non-official DBZ
event taking place in Twin Cities area. If you're up
for a DBZ Card Game Tournament, please check
out this site for more information.
Sunday, 5/19/02
- Woooooohoooo! School is over for me now! I officially
have, uhh....one week to chill before my summer class
starts, yeah! I plan to make the most of this week,
though. Hopefully, all the big things I have planned
for the ToT will get done in these next few days ^_^.
Lesse, what else? Oh yeah, I finished my newest music
video about 2 weeks ago. I should be putting it online
after Otakon and Shoujocon this summer. Heh, so look
forward to that in two months! However, I do plan on
starting a new collaborative video project this weekend
that will get put online very soon, whenever it's done.
:) OK, on with the update! 12 new beautiful pictures
have been posted to Trunks
Doujinshi under the Contributed/Misc.
Doujinshi Pictures page. You can get to them
directly by clicking here.
Enjoy!
Wednesday, 5/8/02
- Prunning day is here! Due to taking up too much server
space (and the fact that this crap is severly outdated),
I've decided to prune or downright get rid of some Multimedia
sections. Despite what I said a few updates ago,
all of the Archived DBZ
Music Videos have now went to see the big music
video collection in the sky. I might put some of these
videos up by means of rotating videos in and out of
the server, so they won't be gone forever. Same thing
goes for all the older Non-
DBZ Music Videos. Now, for the sections I've
been dying to get rid of for ages: Trunks Video Clips,
DBZ and GT Video clips. I figure, they're crappy quality
RealVideo files, and most of 'em don't work anyway.
With DBZ so readily viewable on TV, DVD, and VHS, having
these things up is a waste of space. So, those have
gotten the ax! For similar reasons, I've taken down
most of the dub sounds in Trunks
In English. The unique files still remain, such
as the "Final Bout" video game sounds. I think
in order to make room for more goodies in the future,
I'm going to have to get rid of more stuff later on.
But for now, I think I should be OK. I hope you don't
mind me getting rid of these old things. My thinking
is, some of these items have been around for four years,
and are just obsolete. It's best to rid the site of
these old junkie things to make room for better content
that is waiting in the wings. Please look forward to
it. I should have 'em up within a few weeks, cuz it'll
take a lot of work to add all this new stuff I have
planned. Have a great week! Oh yeah, go see Spider-man
if you haven't already. It be spiffylicious. Also, if
anyone is interested, I did a final project for a literature
class based on the anime "Serial Experiments Lain."
It takes the form of a web site I call "CyberLain."
The site just compares the anime to various topics discussed
in our class. ^^ Ah, I love being able to use this stuff
for school!

- Whew, long time no update, eh? Sorry about the delay,
but it's final time at ye ol' college, and I'm in constant
migrane mode. It's not pretty. :p In any case, I'm doing
a little procrastinating on my part, and decided to
make a small update, and make some announcements!
- I hate to say it, but lately, I've been out of touch
as to what is "new and hip" in the web community.
So, I did a little searching for what seem to be the
new cool sites people seem to be checking out lately.
Hence, a new Links update!
This is how I'll do it from now on: when I find sites
I like, I'll randomly link to 'em.
- This is way cool! Kevin of Anime
Beyond was sweet enough to remake some of my
old music videos! He made his own renditions of my "Who
Wants to Live Forever" and "All
Mixed Up" videos. If you wanna view the
originals (and I hope ya don't, cuz they're so gawd
awful, hehe), you can find them in the Archived
DBZ Music Videos section. Thanks Kevin, you
did an awesome job! ^^
- As soon as school is over for me (that'll be in about
a week and a 1/2), I have some mad crazy stupid content
ready to add to the ToT. I have a bunch of stuff done
now, but I'd rather post them when school is done, and
I'm not as stressed out. What is this stuff, you ask?
Well, I plan to over-haul some sections, and add a crap-load
of new items to them. Sadly, one section of the site,
as they say shall be "voted off the island,"
so to speak. :P Stay tuned for all that stuff in the
very near future. I hope you'll like what I have planned.
Sunday, 4/14/02
- Happy weekend, all! Hope you're having a great one.
It's gorgeous outside, and I'm stuck indoors doing school
work. Er...why am I making an update, then, you ask?
Well, procrastination is a wonderful thing. :) Let me
show ya what there is to see.
- I fixed the broken links and videos in the Archived
DBZ Music Videos and Non-DBZ
Music Videos pages. Of course, these videos
are really crappy, so I don't know why anyone would
want to see them, but since I've been getting a lot
of requests to put up some of the old stuff, I did so.
I think the only video still not working is "Men
In Black." I will fix that some time, though.
- Vejita4Eva was gracious enough to send me more of
her awesome Trunks Fan Manga,
"Walk
This World." A few new pages are now up,
and all of the broken links to that story are now up
and running. This is a wonderful piece of work, so I
hope you'll give it a look.
- I did some more scanning today, and so I've added
a couple of new, stunning Trunks
Doujinshi images to "Two're
On the Globe."
Wednesday, 4/10/02
- Much to my chagrin, I have succumbed to the dark side
and decided to make available a RealVideo version of
my newest music video
to the Utena movie. If you want, you can directly download
"Liberation
of Memories Past" here, or go to the Non-DBZ
Music Videos page to read up on that video,
or download it in a different format. After much deliberation,
I concluded that it really was not cool of me to have
huge-ass file-size versions of that video up, so here's
a RealVideo version (only 12.5 MB) for all you slow
modem people out there. Keep in mind, that compared
to the MPEG and MPEG2 versions of this video, this encoding
really looks like shit. But don't say I didn't warn
ya. I hope you can enjoy it anyways. :P
- I'm in a mad-stupid-psycho-crazy scanning/screencapping/image
editing mood, so expect some new Mirai Trunks or Chibi
Trunks piccies in the very near future. ^^
Sunday, 4/7/02
- Well, I didn't make a new Feature Film this weekend
like I wanted to. However, I did do something that I
hope you will enjoy anyway. I was kinda in a scanning
mood, so for your viewing pleasure, here are some new
Trunks Doujinshi
images! These new
ones are from a very depressing doujinshi, and it has
some lovely images. I hope to add more from this book
soon, because it really is gourgeous, and I barely scratched
the surface for this book in terms of scanning. Hope
ya like 'em!
Saturday, 4/6/02
- Whew! Did some kinda sorta maintenance around the
site, and boy do I feel good! Actually, my back's killing
me. This update took at least 2 hours, and I'm not used
to that. :P Anywho, I think this is worth it. I've completely
went though all of the Links
sections and updated site's changed URLs, and got
rid of dead links. In the end, I think I ended up deleted
half of my listed links, cuz sites were dead. If anything,
the sections are now easier to scroll through. :P This
reeeally needed to be done, and I've been meaning to
clean this section up for awhile, so... yes, my site
spring cleaning is complete!
- For your aesthetic pleasure, I bring you a new Trunks
Wallpaper (located in Trunks
Computer Goodies of the Multimedia
section). Enjoy!
Tuesday, 4/2/02
- Happy April Fools, all! In case you couldn't tell,
yesterday's "news" was the ToT annual April
Fool's Day prank. I wanted to take a different approach
this year, not going on the "my site's been hacked"
or "shutting down" route. I wanted to go for
a little something more sneaky, so...yeah, there you
have it, phony Final Bout cheat codes. :) I'm sorry
if anyone out there actually attempted to try getting
those hidden characters. ^^ Thanks to Mike for all the
help. Sorry we missed your chibi SD Vegeta and IHOP
secured pancakes and syrup this year. :( If you wanna
take a quick trip down memory lane, feel free to check
out the ToT's April Fool's Day joke last year, 2001
"Gokuo Central" prank, and 2000's
"Temple O' Guldo" prank.
- I also want to dispel my fake news that Daizenshuu
EX won't be coming back, since it is indeed
returning to the web in the very near future. That portion
of the news yesterday was phony as well. Mike's working
at his own pace, and doing the best he can to get the
site looking hot, new, and spiffy, with all of his content
back up, so please be patient. It ain't that hard. :P
Oh yeah, in other site news....Savage
Z is back and kickin' it right here at the dbcollection.com
server! Welcome back, MG. I knew you couldn't resist
the dark side. Also, mad props to
Masenko-ha cuz Madd Skittle is a sexy
beotch who will slaughter me if I forget to mention
him yet again. ^_^;;;
- Speaking of site stuff, I am pleased to announce that
the ToT will not have to move to a new host. Long story
short, the dbcollection.com server is no longer in danger
of being lost, because it has been sold to a new owner.
Therefore, I don't need to go searching for a new place
to park this thing. Althoug,h now I have a domain name
and no use for it, heheh... oh well! Sorry for all the
months of "oh, I gotta move!", because now,
it looks as though I won't have to. :)
- One piece of text that I wrote yesterday that IS true
is that I will be making a nice big ol' update soon,
hopefully this weekend, if workload permits. The things
I wanna get done are 1) revamp the Links section to
get rid of dead links, and fix all the site links that
have changed URLs, and 2) make a new Feature Film. I
already got an idea planned, so it's just a matter of
"filming" it. Stay tuned, will ya's!?
Monday, 4/1/02
- Ladies and gentlemen, today I bring to you some Dragonball
video game news that will put some ages-old rumors to
rest. This is bound to rock the DBZ gaming community
as we now know it. It's long been rumored that Dragonball:
Final Bout (for Playstation) has some more hidden characters,
such as Gotenks. The common belief is that if you beat
the game nine times on hard without continuing, you
can put the cursor over Trunks on the character select
screen, and press 'Select' to pick Gotenks (http://www.gamewinners.com/playstation/DragonballGTFinalBout.htm).
We found this to be incorrect! Actually, if you beat
the game once with SSJ Z Trunks, once with SSJ GT Trunks,
and alternate this back and forth, after the ninth time
of THIS technique, you can select normal GT Trunks,
press 'Select,' and there you have it.... Gotenks! Gotenks
will then appear in the lower right hand corner of the
character select screen. Also, if you complete the game
thirty times under the hard difficulty setting with
no continues, you can unlock yet another hidden character...Pilaf!
He will appear on the bottom left corner of the character
selection screen. When I entered in these codes, I made
a screencap of the character select menu with the additional
hidden characters included:
This should hopefully
end the years of incorrect Final Bout codes appearing
on game FAQ sites everywhere. Indeed, you CAN play as
Gotenks, and even Pilaf, and the proof is right here.
:)
- While I'm in the news-giving mood, I think I need
to take the time to clarify something rather important.
In the last few weeks, you may have heard rumors going
around that veteran DBZ fansite, Daizenshuu
EX, ran by Mike LaBrie (VegettoEX), would be
returning to the web at www.daizex.com.
The reason for this move, and revival of the site, is
that his current host at pokeball.net suddenly just
ceased to host many of its sites about 6 months ago.
Well, as one of the people most close to this man of
mystery, I can easily say... the return of Daizenshuu
EX is nothing but a rumor. While Mike did have intentions
to bring back the site, certain circumstances now prevent
him from doing so. Last week, Mike was unfortunately
kicked off of his school network for exceeding his upload/download
limit. This was a result of distributing full anime
episodes online, presumably dubbed DBZ episodes, among
others. Now, he has been banned from accessing his school
computer account, meaning that now, he can't even upload
anything from a school computer lab. Until this problem
is rectified, you shouldn't count on any sort of revival
of Daizenshuu EX for quite some time. Sorry to break
this news, but I figured I should be the one to let
you know. ;_;
- Those are the quick bits of news I wanted to bring
up! Come back soon, cuz I plan on making a new content
update in the very, very near future. See y'all!
Friday, 3/8/02
- Everyone, I have a very important update I want to
share with you today! It's the 4-year anniversary of
the Temple O' Trunks! Wow! Huzaaaah! Hard to believe
this thing has been around that long! Well, I'm very
glad to still be serving you, and I hope to continue
to do so for at least a few more years. Thanks for sticking
around, and enjoying the goodies on this site. Now,
here's my gift to you!
- For the last 3 months, I've been working on a music
video that I feel is the best video I've made to date.
It premiered at Katsucon 8, and won 1st place in the
Drama/Romance category at the Megacon '02 anime music
video contest. So, available for download today is my
new Music Video,
called "Liberation
of Memories Past"! This is an Utena movie
music video to the dance song "Castles in the Sky,"
by Ian Van Dahl. The story focuses on Utena trying to
overcome her past, and move towards the future, with
the strange girl Anthy. Technically, this is my most
advanced video yet. It took a looooong time to make,
and I am very proud of it! I'd love to hear what you
think of my Utena video, so feel free to let me know.
I have both a MPEG
version and a *huge*-ass, high-quality MPEG-2
version of this video up for download. I really
hope you like it! To read the long, full description
of this video, please click
here.
February, 2/24/02
- Hey there, long time no see! This weekend, I felt
like making a quickie update with some things you might
enjoy! First up, I fixed the link to the Message Board and made the Chat
a Bravenet chat, as per the request of users.
- A new language has been added to the audio library
in Trunks Around the World.
Behold... Trunks
in German!
Thanks so much to Kura-chan for the sound file. :) Hope
you enjoy the new addition to this section.
- Today I found out that my newest music video (which
will not be posted up on the site until I make some
minor edits to it), won in the Best Dramatic / Romance
category in the music video contest at Megacon! It's
a Utena movie music video that I've been working on
for months, and it's called "Liberation of Memories
Past." I may or may not have the video online in
the next few days for download, so please stay tuned!
This video also played at Katsucon last week, so if
you saw it there, or at Megacon, I hope you enjoyed
it! It's something I'm very proud of, and is easily
my new favorite music video of mine. I hope I can put
it online soon to share it with y'all. :)
- Speaking of Katsucon, I attended that convention
last weekend with Mike (Daizenshuu EX), and some friends.
I got to meet other anime music video creators, and
Sean Schemmel, the voice of Goku. Yep, he's just as
odd as everyone says he is. Expect to see some multimedia
from the con, and of Sean Schemmel, in the very near
future!
January, 1/19/02
- Got some neat things for you this weekend. I went
on an encoding spree and made MPEG versions of two kinda-sorta-not-too
old Music Videos (I
made 'em for "Break Me: V.2", and "He's
So Shy: V.2"). So, if you despise RealVideo as
much as me and want nice quality versions of these videos,
download 'em while ya can.
- My 21st birthday was last week (whoa, I'm getting
too old for this! :P), so I made some changes to the
FAQ
and About Me sections. I also updated my list of "Anime I've
Seen" on both of those pages.
- I also went on a fixing spree and got both the DBZ
Wall Murals and Trunks
Cels pages working again! Those can be found
in the Images section.
Monday, 1/7/02
- Holy crap, I come back to New Jersey and it all decides
to snow, ice, and all this other crazy shiznit. I must
say, my vacation in Florida was awesome. I was glad
to go some place warm for New Year's for a change. :P
I went para-sailing, went to the lovely Everglades,
and did some other fun things, such as got half my blood
sucked outta me by mosquitos. Mike and I might make
some media on the trip, but thanks to the new job we
just started today at our university (gotsa make the
big money!), I'm not sure if we'll be able to. Well,
I'm just stopping by to say that I'm back and all in
one piece (for the most part....heh..). I have some
stuff I still need to edit around here, so I hope to
get that done in the coming weeks. Here's to a happy
birthday for Savage
Z, which has now been around for one year (wow,
feels like just yesterday), and Cat at Goku
Central made a neat Trigun music video, although
I don't know when she'll officially post it.
- Wow, I actually felt like updating
with something today. I just remembered that my pal
Leda-chan had sent me the second half of a Trunks Cartoon
she had made, so I figured I'd post it! You can find
it on Page 2 of
the Trunks Cartoons section.
It's the continuation of the saga of what caused Bra's
pregnancy. Hope ya like it!
- I've updated the Trunks
Voice Actor Information page (located in the
Trunks Info section)
with some new info on the English actors.
- While I'm on a roll, I went
and made some silly little items for a little humor
page that's been highly neglected around these parts.
As quite possibly the lamest section on this site, I've
added two new piccies to Trunks
Food. Life don't get much dumber than this.
:P
Saturday, 12/29/01
- Heylo, peeps. Hope you all had an excellent holiday!
I for one had a marvelous one, and it's only just beginning!
I got lots o' neat stuff, like the Cowboy Bebop DVD
boxed set, Lain DVD boxed set, both Fushigi Yuugi DVD
boxed sets, other random anime DVDs, concert DVDs, other
fun tapes, a new desk chair, and much more! Basically,
I got a lot of viewing material. Ohhh, my head explodes!
Well, I'm just popping in to say that from tomorrow
'till next Saturday, I won't be around, as I will be
vacationing with my boyfriend Mike (that bastard EX,
hehehe) and his family. Anything to get out of this
hella cold weather will be great! So, I won't be around
to answer any e-mails or do site stuff 'till then. I
hope to come back with fun stories and such! And if
I don't come back...well...won't that just suck. Until
then, farewell, and Happy New Year from the ToT!
And in case you're wondering, I did do some work around
here. :) All of my old, and highly shitty music videos
are back up in the Archived
Music Videos section, I made some new MPEG versions
of some newer Music Videos,
and all the sub-sections are back up on the main page.
have fun!
Sunday, 12/23/01
- Although this is coming from me rather late, I figured
it's better late than never! Today, I've posted the
ToT annual batch of DBZ winter holiday-related fanfics,
images, stories, songs, poems, etc! You can find them
on the DBZ Winter Holiday
Stuff page. I'll only have this up for a few
days, so enjoy these items while you still can. Have
fun!
As for the site itself, here
are some things I still have to do: 1) add the sub-sections
to the main page, 2) fix links on the archived music
videos page, 3) decide what to do about movie clips.
That's on my personal list of things to do in the next
couple o' days. Catch you laters!
Saturday, 12/22/01
- You may have convinced yourself it was all over...you
may have thought that it was dead...or maybe you thought
it was just getting drunk in Tiajuana...BUT YOU WERE
DEAD WRONG! I'm pleased to announce that the Temple
O' Trunks is now officially back and fully operational!
Uploading the 5500+ files only took a few hours, surprising
enough (fast connections = god-like power), and that
makes me regret that I did not put this all back up
sooner. Despite that, this hiatus from the site was
a much needed break. I was able to concentrate more
on school (3rd year of college can be a bitch goddess!),
and as a result, I racked in 4 As and lord-knows-what
in my god-awful Java programming class. Now that the
Fall semester is over, I'm ready to come back to the
site, and I simply began by putting it all back up again.
As much as I would have liked to have come back with
my new location, the new servers still ain't ready yet,
and I have no idea when I can move in. So I figured
I should just stay put for the time being. Hope you
can deal with that. ^_- I want to thank the majority
of you who have been patient with my delay on coming
back to the site. I could have done so quickly, but
when it comes down to it.. I *really* needed to give
this thing a rest. So, thanks for sticking around this
long, and I hope you'll continue to be a part of this
in the future. To the rest of you whiny kids who couldn't
get a grip on reality and just be patient with the site
changes...screw you. Screw you profusely! *ahem* Ahh,
that felt good. As far as I know, everything uploaded
back up just dandy. However, if you notice large gaps
of missing content (i.e- entire pages with no working
images, etc.) please let me know. But, don't e-mail
if there's just one little link or image that isn't
working some where, cuz chances are I don't have that
file any more. I still have some minor adjustments to
make here and there, so please bear with me (most notably
on the old music video archives, ugg...what crap. Don't
even bother looking!) . I hope you will have fun with
everything that is back up again! I plan on making an
update of the annual, seasonal kind tomorrow, so stay
tuned. Heh... I don't know what else I can say other
than thanks for being such great fans, and I hope you'll
be enjoying the site again!
Tuesday, 12/18/01
- I'm back today to bring you more news. This time,
it's Trunks related! Eric Johnson, the voice of Future
Trunks, tells me that he has changed his stage name
to "Eric Vale". What's the reason behind this?
Read on, bub:
"I've taken a stage
name because some guy on the show Smallville joined
the union, SAG, with my real name. So, since there
can't be more than one of the same name in the union...
And since I hope to join the union someday... I
thought I'd just nip it in the bud and change it
now. New name is Eric Vale."
So, that's that! You heard it
here. As you may or may not know, there's a guy on Smallville
that also has the name "Eric Johnson," so
our Eric's gone ahead and given himself a stage name.
Pretty freaky, eh? I'll add this info to the "Trunks
Voice Actor Info" section as soon as all my files
are back up.
Monday, 12/17/01
- Howdy you little cuties, you! I hope everyone out
there in web land is doing OK. I'm returning to my old
stomping ground bearing news! Yes news, from me! Wow,
I feel hella special since some really coo' and pertinent
information has been bestowed upon my little self. A
reliable source who prefers to remain anonymous tells
me that come the holidays, script writing will begin
on DBGT. After that, the show is projected to begin
production in the early spring. That's all I have for
now, but if I get more tidbits, I'll post 'em here!
OK, time for my report on the status of the ToT. Obviously,
it ain't moved yet. I'm thinking I'll just restore the
site at it's current location, and when the servers
are ready for me to move in, I'll just take it from
there. So my holiday gift from me to you all will hopefully
be the restoration of this monster! On a very related
note, my main man Mike's site, Daizenshuu
EX (which current forwards to the main pokeball.net
home page) should also be back in the near future.
With semester finals in full swing, I've been mad crazy
stupid busy. But, like I always say, I'm constantly
working on some project or another. That said, expect
some new shiznit from me soon. I'm sure I'll make at
least one more update in the next few days, so I hope
you'll stay tuned, cuz the ToT comin' home for the holidays!
Wednesday, 11/21/01
- Happy almost Turkey Day! Looking forward to a small
break? I sure hope so. It's sure been awhile since I
updated this thing. The server I'm moving to is still
being renovated. I'm told the moving day is going to
be December 1, but we'll see. Despite not having updated,
I am *always* working on new projects. Today, I'll post
some of those completed items here on the site! I've
got two new music videos for you to watch, one of which
is a new DBZ video! Oh my! The first video is something
I finished last week. I used the Kimagure Orange Road
movie, and a song from an 80s cartoon show, Jem. Odd
combination, eh? If you haven't seen KOR before, I really,
really recommend it. It will be available on DVD in
February, too! Anywho, the video is all about a girl
named Hikaru who loves to dance and is trying out for
a musical audition. Her best friend Madoka is also in
the video, shown playing the piano, as she gives mental
support for her friend. That's a rather simplified descrption
of the video, so if you'd like to get more in-depth
info on this video,
click here. The video is called "When
It's Only Me and the Music", and it was
just a fun lil' video I did mainly for my own amusement.
The next video is something I'm
extremely proud of, heheh, although I'm not sure if
I should be. ^^;; I completed it last night at 3:40
am (I just *had* to finish it, or I wouldn't sleep!),
and I've been working on it for the last few days. How
can I describe what this video is about, hmm...well,
to put it simply: this video is parody of everything
that sucks about DBZ music videos, and all of its stereotypes,
all in one package! It's in the form of a home shopping
TV show, so it has some live action footage, something
I've never done (or seen) before in an anime music video.
Not only that, but it features 3 songs (to all those
who ever asked me to make a Limp Bizkit video...you
asked for it! HA!). Click
here if you wanna read about all of the fun
facts relating to this music video. Or if you want,
just go straight ahead and download my "All-Purpose
DBZ Music Video (How To Make a Bad One)".
I really hope you enjoy this, as well as my other new
video, because this was a blast to make. I at least
hope it entertains you. (Note- both videos are in MPEG
format [no exceptions. I ain't making RealVideo format
clips anymore! They look shitty!], and are moderate
file sizes, but have very good video quality.) See y'all
soon!
For all those who don't bother
to read my updates on the main page- I know my links
aren't working! I took them down on purpose. My site
will be moved soon. Please be patient. I've been getting
some pretty rude e-mails from people who just can't
wait a few weeks for a web site to go back up. There
are more important things to worry about in life, so
don't worry about how long it takes me to get this shizzat
all moved. :P
Thursday, 10/18/01
- Alrighty so, here's the deal with the site. I got
my domain name all bought, and I've been set with a
new host for weeks, but (of course, here comes the "but")...as
soon as I was ready to move in, the servers all went
down, so I've been stranded. No biggie, though. I'm
sure things'll be set soon. In the meantime, I did manage
to get a new music video done! I sorta started it a
month or two ago, but only finished it last week. My
bad. ^^ In my new trend of moving away from DBZ videos
(it gets *real* old after doing them for 3 years...),
I have a little something different to offer you! It's
a Sailor Moon video ("what another one?!",
you say? Don't worry, I only have the two), but it's
very much unlike any video I've ever done. It's a look
into the character of Haruka Tenoh (known as "Amara"
in the dub, or, Sailor Uranus), and how she is deeply
affected by the destiny that awaits her, and the tough
decisions she must face in life. If you'd like to read
the full description of this video (cuz I don't want
to take space up on the main page), please click
here. And, here's the download link for video
itself, called "Wind
Outrunning Destiny: Haruka Tenoh". Yes,
I'm just plopping the direct download link on the main
page, for now. :P . Anywho, this is a neat lil' character
tribute, and I hope you enjoy it. I'm kinda surprised
with the end result of this video, in that I didn't
initially expect to go into detail over the complexities
of the character. I just wanted it to be something fun
to work on, at first, but it evolved into something
in which, I hope, has a unique story. Oh well, I'll
shut up now. If you enjoy Sailor Moon, then I hope you
like this thing. OK, it's 2:30 am, I need sleep. Ja
ne!
Thursday, 10/4/01
- Well, the site move is taking longer than I thought.
I'm not even sure if I'll be able to move now. That,
plus college exams and other work is really getting
to me, and even if I *could* do site work, I probably
wouldn't be adding anything new, simply because I don't
have time or desire to do such. Oh yeah! I *have* to
mention this, cuz there seems to be a lot of confusion.
YES, I KNOW the main navigation links aren't working.
People are failing to read my updates, which state that
I'm moving my site..I thought it was fairly obvious.
Uhh, lesse, I did make a new music video. It's a remake
of an old favorite of mine. Check it out, please! It's
a new version of my Sailor Moon R movie music video
"Carry
On Dancing- Version 2.0". And, if you missed
it, please give my Boys Be music video, "Chick
Magnet", a view. Anyshit, if I get more
info on the progress of the transfer of this site, I'll
post it here. Otherwise, nothing's going on. Go outside
and play or something. There are more important things
in life than waiting for this site to go back up. :P
And for all those who asked, the Vampire Hunter D movie
was great. Gorgeous, gothic, amazing voice acting, and
just a fun dumb action movie. I'm glad that it was shown
in my city! ^^

- This week's been hell, as I'm certain many of
you out there can understand. Things are so weird here.
When I look out into the horizon, a clear smoke line
from NYC is visible. Not only that, but I can smell
the stench of the wreckage over here as well. And I
live in *central New Jersey*. That's just so sick, it's
depressing... I can't believe things like that are visible
from here. I heard that at my school, the WTC skyline
(or what's left of it) can be seen from the tallest
dorm rooms. *sigh* Sometimes I forget how close I really
am to what's going down. Well, if any one out there
was worrying, I'm fine, and Mike's dad is safe, despite
a few close calls, my neighbors are OK, too. I almost
feel disgusting for making this update, cuz I still
feel as if I need time away from these damn computers.
But, I completed this project yesterday, so I figured
I should post it. Maybe it'll even cheer people up,
I hope. It's a new Music Video!
You can find it in the ever-growing Non-DBZ
Music Videos page. This video based on the obscure
anime "Boys Be." It's a great show that recently
finished up in Japan. I highly recommend it. It's all
about happy, horny high schoolers, and the people they
fall in love with. Visually, this is the best looking
video I've done in that the DVDs I got my footage from
were amazingly clear, and the animation is all digital.
The video is all about three boys who try to check out,
hit on, and impress girls, but fail miserabley, and
make asses out of themselves. But, there is a happy
ending. :) To read my full descriptioin of the video,
can download the MPEG here: "Chick
Magnet": Boys Be Music Video. This is a
great looking MPEG file, and it's 33 MB. Let me know
what you think of it! Even if you've never seen the
anime, I hope you watch this video anyway. Maybe it'll
get you into the series. :) Feel free to let me know
what ya think. Oh yeah, if you go to the Music
Video pages, you'll see that they look slightly
different. I went through all of the pages, and re-organized
them. Wow, it took a long time to do. Well..I'm off!
Tuesday, 9/11/01
- I'm sure all of you by now are aware of today's devastating
events in NYC. I hope eveyone out there is doing OK.
If any one has someone in their lives that has been
hurt or lost, my thoughts and prayers are constantly
with you. I'm deeply, deeply sorry. At 8:50 AM on Tuesday,
September 11, I was at my home, eating breakfast, while
watching the Weather Channel before getting ready to
go to school. My father came in the living room and
told me to put on the CNN. What I then saw startled
and confused me. I thought I was witnessing a fire in
a room of one of the Twin Towers. However, the text
that appeared at the bottom of the screen soon led me
to understand otherwise. A plane had crashed in to the
World Trade center; a landmark that is a mere 40-minute
drive from my house, and can be seen clearly from the
nearby New Jersey Turnpike. For a few minutes, my father
and I speculated possible causes for the accident. As
a pilot, my father threw some theories back and forth
on what could have taken places. But, it was time for
me to drive to my morning class, so I had to leave.
I would have left right then and there, except for at
about 9:00 AM, a video of a second plane slamming into
the other Twin Tower played before my eyes. This was
enough. I froze where I was, as I started to get choked
up. I didn't really understand what was going on, but
sadly, I had to go to school, despite my wanting to
stay at home to find out what just happened. On the
20-minute ride to my university, I had the news on,
and heard more developments in the events that were
taking place. From 9:45-11:10, I didn't really know
what was going on, since, I was stuck in class (my teacher
had tried to access cnn.com during my Social Informatics
class, but the server was flooded.) The second I got
out of class, I turned on my cell phone. Ten seconds
after I turned on my phone, it rang. It was my boyfriend,
Mike (VegettoEX of Daizenshuu EX.) It didn't take much
for me to realize that he was obviously distraught.
Then I came to a realization: Mike's dad works in downtown
Manhattan, and shit was going down. I drove straight
to Mike's dorm and met up with him. While I was in my
car, I called my dad at home, to make sure all our relatives
in the near-by area were OK. Fortunately, everything
was fine. When I arrived at Mike's floor at the dorm,
the Loft, everyone was glued to the TVs, and most people
were crying. Upon arriving to Mike's room, I got up
to date on what had happened, and learned that the landmark
Twin Towers no longer existed. I burst into tears. The
images on the TV were horrific, unbelieveable, and downright
scary, in terms of how damn close all of this was taking
place. We then learned that classes at school were cancelled
for the rest of the day, and rightfully so. For the
next few hours, the three of us, me, Mike, and his roommate
Andrew, sat in front of the TV in tears, and in silence.
It took a loooong time, well...it *felt* like a long
time, for us to get up and do anything. We were virtual
vegetables for a good three hours. As time passed, we
regained our appetites, had food, talked with others,
and gathered ourselves. During this period, I did a
lot of thinking and soul searching. I came to realize
something that I had already known in the back of my
mind, but it was only re-affirmed by this tragic incident:
this web site stuff, differences between different kinds
of fans, creative differences, and anime in general...it's
all completely worthless. The notion that I could have
lost my family, boyfriend, and friends, was a realistic
possibility that I had to face. I knew that I absolutely
did NOT want to lose them before fully experiencing
my life with all of the people I loved. The terror and
death that took place in NYC hit way too close to home,
not just in terms of geography, but in the ways of general
life stuff. Thousands of people were dead. They're not
coming back. A landmark that I love, that I love to
look at every time I drive by the city, and visit the
city, was obliterated. It's not there any more. I was
trouble, and still am having trouble, with coming to
grips with all this. But, what I have come to terms
with is what does, and what does not, take priority
in my life. Web sites do not take priority, school does.
Worrying about arguments over the DBZ dub does not take
priority, my boyfriend does. Worrying about updating
my site does not take priority, my family does. Making
sure I catch all the new DB and DBZ episodes does not
take priority, my friends do. I've received the worst
kind of reality check today, and I'm sure countless
others have, also. However, I do no think that this
is a bad thing. While the circumstances surrounding
this slap of reality are devastating, I think an event
like this, an event in which it forces the nation to
stand together, is a positive thing. I hope that other
people in this web world will have a reality check similar
to mine. I truly think that if we all have a clear vision
of what IS important, DBZ on the web will be less petty
and negative. Maybe by gaining a better understanding
of what really matters, peoples lives will not
revolve around trivial things as much. But, that's just
my idea of a perfect world in this crazy mess. My thoughts
are kind of jumbled, so sorry if this sounds convoluted
right now. But, I thank you for reading this far. I
think it's important to express oneself in this terrible
time, to help feel free of the grief. With that said,
some of my friends' sites, such as Majin
Seishin and Savage
Z, have written their thoughts as well. Sorry
if I left any other sites out, but I'm making this update
rather hurriedly. I hope everyone out there is safe.
This is a terrible day that we all will not soon forget.
I don't know what else to say. I'm still kind of stunned
and depressed. But for now, take care, and god bless.
Friday, 9/7/01
- Well well well, school only been going on for four
days, and I think my head has already exploded. Look,
I think I see some remains right over there by my mouse!
*insert brain into skull* Ohhh, juicy. Now that that's
oout of the way, I emplore you, you simply *have* to
give today's update a view. There's some new Fanart
waiting to be viewed, and I must say, and I know
that I say this every time (heh, and it kinda makes
me feel bad), but I think this might be the best batch
yet. Don't believe me? Then, why not check this,
this, this,
and this
out! And that's not even the half of it! So, I hope
you enjoy all of today's eye candy. :)
Tuesday, 9/4/01
- As per the request of fans, the ToT is back to using
the old Chat format.
Ahh, y'all are sticklers for the old stuff, eh? That's
ok...whatever makes ya happy. I'm not really a fan of
chats, so I don't mind changing it again, as long as
you enjoy it. Well then, I'm off to class now. Happy
one-year anniversary, baby.
Monday, 9/3/01
- School is back in session, and the happenings on campus
are in full swing. Thank GOD. I'm probably one of the
few people I know who actually looks forward to school.
Kids, college owns, that's all I can say. I'm going
into my Junior year at RU...god, I'm old. Well, it's
great to be back with all the fun people at the Loft.
I missed those guys.... One of its members even got
a Gohan tattoo! Here, check
this neatness out. Enough of my yaking, here's
some updateage.
- Random babble: at first, I was quite pissed that Cowboy
Bebop was gonna be on Cartoon Network. After all, the
last thing we need are teenboppers of Bebop a la Tenchi
and Outlaw Star. However, the fact that it's on so late,
and is left the same (save for some changed curse words),
makes me ecstatic! What, new DB and DBZ episodes, huh?
Blah blah blah...*widdles thubs*
- Check out Sexuality of
Trunks for three new additions.
- The Random DBZ Fill in
the Blank Contest has a winner and a new sentence.
- Updated Trunks Voice
Actor Info with new pics and info on my boy
Eric Johnson. Thanks for the pics, Baconfat. The two
new images were taken from the Toronto Anime Convention,
btw. Shout out to you cool Canadians, and especially
you Eric, for mentioning the ToT... heh, it makes me
feel special, and junk and stuff and junk. Thanks for
the pics, Baconfat.
Sunday, 8/26/01
- Just went and saw "Jay and Silent Bob Strike
Back" today. My god. I am in love. I feel like
all of those scenes regarding the Internet were written
for me. I could so relate to what was going on. Heh,
what were they saying about "the Internet was made
for people to slander each other anonymously" and
"disliking people so much that they sit behind
their keyboards and talk about them endlessly"?
Hmm..sounds like something I know. Anyway, go see that
movie. I have completed my
Otakon Report, finally. It's not as
long as I had imagined, but, that'll make it less painful
for you. There's also a small image gallery. You can
find that in the Special Features section. Enjoy!
Saturday, 8/25/01
- This is turning out to be quite an incredible weekend!
Yesterday, Mike
and I went to NYC to see Reggie and the Full Effect,
and on the way home, I kinda got my skinny white ass
lost. Ohh, what a trip! And the show was fun, too. OK,
that's my story of the moment. Here is some eye candy
for today. The Fan Manga
section has two new stories added to it. Hope you
enjoy them. Right now, I'm also working on my lame-o
Otakon report. I'll have it up tomorrow. Pluggage of
the day goes out to the super neat Masenko-ha.com.
Dang, that shizzat is sleek! Happy belated b-day, MG!
Oh, and the site Future
Fortold has a new URL, too.
Wednesday, 8/22/01
- Send the kids off to bed, and lock up the dog (...what
the heck does that mean?), because I've finished my
new Music Video!
You can find it in the Non-DBZ
Music Videos section. The anime: Cowboy Bebop.
The concept: Girls are nuts. Yes, it's a weird one,
but fun! This is the first music video I've made on
my new computer and DVD player, and I'm gosh darn happy
with the results! It was so fun to make, and I hope
you'll download it, and enjoy it! I've got both a MPEG
and a RealVideo version of the video available for download,
so take your pick: These
Girls are Crazy (Spike's Valuable Life Lessons): MPEG
Version (44 MB), or you can get These
Girls are Crazy (Spike's Valuable Life Lessons): RealVideo
Version (16 MB). I recommend you get the MPEG.
It looks a LOT nicer than the RealVideo one. Well, that's
that! Feel free to let me know what you thought of this
video. It's now one of my new fave ones, up there with
"Again" and "Traces of Insanity".
Oh yeah, and to read my full description of the video,
you can read it here.
Oh yeah, and I've fixed some of the newer music video
links in the DBZ Music Videos
page.
- I recently conducted a very enjoyable interview with
Crono2057 of Konack.
If you'd like to read the interview, just check it out
right
here.
Tuesday, 8/21/01
- Wow, what a crappy week it's been for me and cars.
Got into a car accident after Otakon, and today, I got
a fraggin' ticket! Dag nabbit, the road is against me!
I shall cower in my home for a bit. With that said,
here's an update for ya. :P
- Got a few new Trunks Wallpapers
made in the Trunks Computer
Goodies section.
- Check out Trunks Doujinshi-
Page 2 for some really awesome Contributed
Trunks Doujinshi. I love the one of Trunks giving
Vegeta the finger!
- Random DBZ Fill in the
Blank has a new winner and sentence.
- Gah, I suck, I keep forgetting
to fix the link to the Message
Board.
There it goes.
- Whoops, it looks like I messed up that DBZ chat date
with Eric Johnson. The chat is on September 13, not
27.
- Aku no
Nawabari has found a new home with...me! That's
right, Lena is here at dbcollection.com, along with
MG of Savage
Z (who is sporting a sexy new layout). Majin
Seishin is up and running again, too.
- Expect to see my Otakon report tomorrow. I'd do it
today, but I'm busy finishing up my new music video.
Until then, be sure to download "This
is Your Life" from D-EX.
Saturday. 8/18/01
- Feast your eyes, Trunks fans, for I have made
some new Trunks Scans!
Not only are they new, but I believe they are rare.
I haven't seen these on any other sites before, so I
hope that what I'm posting is something you'll be seeing
for the first time. They are 6 black and white
pictures of Trunks, that feature important events in
his life. You can find them here.
- As I'm sure most of you
have heard by now, Eric Johnson will be doing a "celebrity
chat" at the official Dragonballz.com
web site. This will take place on September 27.
- Still getting my Otakon
report together. I just received my Otakon AMV
contest tape in the mail today, so I am a tad distracted.
Oh well! To hold you over until I have mind ready,
please check out the Otakon reports over at DBC:
We Don't Care. Both Zelda Master2000
and Skinbone
have a report available, so give 'em a read!
- *sniff* All my buddies
over at Majin Gohan are having troubles!
Majin Gohan won't be hosting sites anymore, so the hosted
sites need to find new locations. As I mentioned
before, Savage
Z is moving to my server, Dragonball Kenkon is moving
in with Twisted
World and KHOW, while the
other sites...I dunno about just yet. I shall
keep ya posted!
Thursday, 8/16/01
- Hot fun in the summer time, ain't it?
I figure I'd celebrate the spirit of the season by making
some nice goodies. Ladies and gents, prepare to
drool. I've made some new Fanarts
I like to call "DBZ: The Swimsuit Issue 2001".
Here's your chance to see some of my fanart of
hot DBZ characters lookin' fiiiine. Hope you
like them!
- The MPEG of the winning
Otakon action/regular category music video, Scott Melzer's
*amazing* DBZ video, "This is Your
Life", is now available for download.
You can find it only at Daizenshuu EX. However,
I also have a link to it on my own Music
Videos page. Oh yeah, I hope to have the
Otakon report ready this weekend. :) Also, stay tuned
for some new Trunks scans!
Monday, 8/13/01
- Great Con! I was so glad I was able to meet some of
you guys there! The whole event was a wonderful experience,
and I can't wait to get started on my Otakon report.
I hope to have it done in the next day or two. Trust
me, I have plenty to talk about. Hmmm..but first, some
quick notes. I am damn pleased to announce that Scott
Melzer's DBZ music video (the one Mike and I helped
with), "This Is Your Life", won first place
in the action category! Whee! Congrats to Scott, Lucas,
Mike, and anyone else who helped with that production.
That music video will be available for download on Daizenshuu EX probably tomorrow.
And, my music video was not only the only video to not
get booed in its category in Screening 1, but also had
lots of cheers! Come on, I'm sure some of you guys were
in that audience ,so fess up! :P Well, thanks a lot
for all the support. You can find that music video right
here (geez, how many times have
I plugged this one?). I've already begun work on some
new ones, so stay tuned for 'em. For all those who attended
the world premiere of our fan dub "This
is Otakudom", mad props to you for sitting
through nearly two hours of those awful, old, fan dubs.
I hope you thought ours was worth waiting for. Let's
see....umm...oh yeah, I have a new server-mate! MG,
the web master of one of only, like, five DBZ sites
I go to any more, is now a part of the
dbcollection.com family. Savage
Z is still moving in, but he'll be ready soon.
Well, just wanted to say I'm home, and as much as I
am loving this whole lack of Internet thing, I'll try
to get back into the habit. Ja ne.
Wednesday, 8/9/01
- The big ol' trip to Baltimore is tomorrow. It
seems like half the population of New Jersey is going
to Otakon, I swear. Everywhere I go, work, the mall,
stores, etc., I find people that are going. 'Tis tres
spiffy! So, if you too will be attending Otakon, it
would be really great if you just wanted to stop and
say hello. A good place to see me and Mike would be
at the Music Video contest. The two of us will also
*definately* be at the Music Video overflow screenings
numbers 1 and 3. Those are where our music videos will
be shown, so feel free to stop by and cheer us on! And
of course, we'll be at the Fan Dub Parody screening.
I believe it will be shown Saturday night, but check
the schedule when you get it just to make sure. For
that, stick around after the showing of the fan dub
parody, cuz we'll most likely stick around after it
is played. Hmmm, well, those are the events I definitely
know I'll be going to. If you just happen to see me
any ol' other time, don't hesistate to strike up a conversation.
On Friday, I'll just be wearing normal clothes. On Staurday,
I'll be wearing the "This is Otakudom" T-shirt,
and I might wear my ToT shirt on Sunday. I guess that's
that. See you at the con!!! :) Oh yeah, and be sure
to vote for Scott Melzer's DBZ music video "This
Is Your Life" at the music video contest! You won't
be disappointed. It's f-ing incredible.
Update: I have just received
my official "This is Otakudom" t-shirt. If
you're looking for me in this shirt, here are some pics
that will help. This is the front
of the shirt, and my own quote from the fan dub
is on the back. Huzzah!
- Seeing as how not everyone out there will make it
to Otakon and see my music video shown, I've decided
to make the high quality MPEG version of my Fushigi Yuugi video, "Again",
available for download for all the people who will be
stuck at home. :P Now, I know his one works, as opposed
to the faulty DivX version that I had up. I hope you
enjoy this vid. This is the final version of it. ^_-
You can find it in the Non-DBZ Music Videos section.
- Since I'll be gone all weekend, I'd REALLY appreciate
it if you DO NOT SEND ME ANY E-MAIL UNTIL SUNDAY. I
just don't want a stuffed mail box when I'm gone, heheh.
I'll return laters. Bye bye!
Wednesday, 8/8/01
- Two days 'till Otakon...me..going...crazy!!
Ah, I am so excited! I can't wait to see what this thing
is like. Mike
and I are still finalizing plans, so expect an update
with all meeting info sometime tomorrow. Now, I have
a lame story for you. Yesterday, I went to the mall
to make my very first DVD purchase. As I walked into
Suncoast video, I swiftly ignored the DBZ Movie 4: Lord
Slug DVD...gawd, what a bad movie. Even if it is on
DVD and subtitled, I'll never buy dat piece o' crap
movie). Instead, I decided to buy a Shoujo Kakumei Utena
box set. *drool* Now that's quality! Anywho, I went
to go pay for the thing with Mike, when the guy at the
register asked if we were going to Otakon. We said yes,
and I said to him, "Please go see our fan dub,
'This is Otakudom'!" Well, that's a phrase I've
been saying a lot these last few weeks, and I intend
to promote the thing even more. So, yeah, go see it.
I *think* it's on Saturday, but I'm not sure, but like
I said, I'll have more info tomorrow. On with the update!
- As per Dena's request, there are now some very specific
guidelines for sending in Fanart. Please look them over before sending anything
to her.
- Super plug time! My host, Tapion, finally has his
new version of his site, Dragonball Collection, up and
running! Good job, ol' boy. And now, my moment of zen:
petitions are dumb.
Sunday, 8/5/01
- My family reunion has come and gone. After
not being on my computer for days, I realized how non-stressful
life can be without one. It is good. The
Internet sucks, baby. With that said, I'm pleased
to announce I'm buying a new computer tomorrow.
Yes, I am a walking talking contradiction. Um,
here are some things to look at.
- Fan
Manga goodies are now available for your viewing
pleasure. Lots of good stories this time around.
- In the Operators are Standing By section, there is a
new item up for bid! OK, so it's not for sale,
but it's fun to pretend, right?
- Check out the The Random DBZ Fill in the Blank Contest for
a new winner and sentence.
- Otakon is in five freakin' days!
I am so excited! Me and my home slices (is that
even a phrase?) are busy promoting the "This is Otakudom" fan
dub, and my Fushigi Yuugi music video, "Again"
made the second showing time-slot. Ah, this will
be fun! Anywho, I'm sure I'll be posting more
about my plans for the con in the days to come, so stay
tuned for more details.
Thursday, 8/2/01
- Looks like the wonders of modernity have finally
hit your friendly neighborhood Meri. I've indulged
myself and bought me a DVD player, yep yep! No
more mooching of other people for me! So, I'm
re-watching Evangelion, and I'm getting the usual mind-fuck
that I do so enjoy. Hmmmm...mind mush....*ahem*
Time to set my reality straight by making an update!
I'm sure lots of you have been looking forward to this
one! The Trunks Fanfics
page has a lot of new additions from both old authors,
and two newcomers. Hope you like them!
Thanks, MajinKenny, for all the help, and thanks, Kyle-san,
for taking over the Fanfic reigns for awhile.
- Check out Daizenshuu
EX for some MPEGs of scenes from our Otakon
(in almost a week!) fan dub parody "This is Otakudom."
To hype it up more, the ToT shall be hosting a variety
of different clips as well. Keep in mind that
the actual fan dub is 45 minutes long, and therefore,
a full version of the dub will never be online.
Regardless, stay tuned to download some clips from it
very soon.
- I took down the DivX file of my Fushigi Yuugi
video, "Again", since it seemed like lots
of people were having trouble viewing the file.
I shall have the MPEG of that music video up soon.
Tuesday, 7/31/01
- Between work, and my family reunion coming up,
and Otakon two weeks away (still working on the final
touches for "This is Otakudom"
fan dub!), things have been hectic. I'm a tad
torked that I'm not doing as much stuff here as I would
like, but I get by. Anywho, a Links
update was long overdue, so I decided to post a
bunch of good new sites that I've come across in the
last few months! Got some new fixed URLs, too.
Well, I hope to add something with a little more substance
very soon.
Tuesday, 7/24/01
- Wow, I am raking in the dough with my summer
job. Now I'll have shopping money for Otakon!
See kids, you too can buy nice things if you
just get a job! Stealing is bad, very, very bad!
*runs away with DBZ DVDs under her jacket*. You
ain't seen nothin'! Go on, read these updates!
*sneak sneak*
- Thanks to the always delightful Cat of Goku
Central, the Enlightened
Ones section
has a new editorial added!
This is a great read. I highly recommend
it. And speaking of Cat, she also has made a new
site called Anime
Central!
- The
Sexuality of Trunks page has a couple of new
and horny tidbits.
- A new winner and sentence
is up in The Random DBZ
Fill in the Blank Contest.
- For the time being, MajinKenny
will not be able to accept Fanfics,
as he is about to go away for a bit. Instead,
Kyle-san will now be in charge of fanfic submissions
in the weeks ahead. Please, be gentle to him.
:)
- The super neat site,
Nani, has *another* new url!
- Some of my eBay
Auctions are still going on, so if you'd like
to buy some of "Meri's Offical Junk", feel
free to check them out.
Saturday, 7/24/01
- I needed a music video fix this week, so I decided
to work on a little something fun. Since my last
music video used a song that was "hard and trendy",
I decided to use a song that is totally not the norm
for Dragonball Z music videos. What is it?
It's the up-tempo classical song, the Can Can!
C'mon, I know you all have heard it at some point or
another. Ahhh, you'll know it when you hear it.
Combine that with the need to make a straight up action
fighting video (something I haven't done in a long time),
and you get something that, I hope, is unique.
So, check it out, my new Music
Video, "The
Slugfest Can Can: Piccolo vs. Juunanagou" (In
MPEG format, baybee!). As always, I'd love to
hear what you think of the video. Oh yeah, some
of you might be wondering what ever happened to that
Krillin/#18 music video I was working on. I put
that one on hold for the time being, because I didn't
like how it was turning out. I do hope I can finish
it some day. But for now, download today's goodie,
and I hope you like it. :)
- Weekend pluggage!
My boy A Dawg's site, Majin
Seishin, made its debut at it's new host today.
Be sure to check out his new editorial
(hehe, I love it to death!). Also,
give this a go!
Wednesday, 7/18/01
- Otakon is coming in a few weeks, and I need
to get rid of stuff in my room to make room for whatever
anime purchases take place at the con! Therefore,
I have gon through all my anime stuff and decided to
sell a bunch of items. You can find a total of
26 goodies consisting of posters, wall scrolls, action
figures, doujinshi, cards, stickers, and more in my
eBay
Auctions. This stuff is dirt cheap, and
I'm only going to have them on sale for a mere 3 days
(some are a week, by accident), so be sure to check
them out! I have stuff other than DBZ items as
well. :P Please...take my junk off my hands? ^_^;;

- Hmm, this is a relatively late update for me.
The Shoujocon report took longer to write up than I
anticipated, but it's done, and it's here. My Shoujocon 2001 Report can be found in
the Special Features
section. Hope you like it. :P

- I return from the coooon! Shoujocon
was a lot more fun this year than its premiere year
in '00. However, it was rather unorganized, but
I look forward to seeing how the con will mature in
the future. I'm happy to say that my Fushigi
Yuugi music video, "Again,"
won second place in the music video contest!!
Gah, I was so scared during the first airing of the
contest that I could feel my face turning green.
But, I was glad when it was over (because being able
to breathe is a good thing). I'm really surprised
that I got second place at my first real convention....it
was really fun, and a great learning experience.
Now I just have Otakon
to worry about! For all those who might be
wondering, my prize was a Gundam Wing tarot card set.
-_-;; Well, Mike has already posted some comments
on the con at his site. And like him,
I too shall make a more detailed report on the con at
a later time (as in, tomorrow). I do want to mention
one point right away, though. By some stroke of
luck, myself, Mike, and some friends of mine whom I
perused the con with were able to get our 40+ minute
long fan dub, "This
is Otakudom", shown at the convention.
Our parody (which was made with the help of an insane
amount of people....) was made specifically for Otakon,
however, we were able to show a "trial version"
of the dub for Shoujocon. Basically, we wanted
to see how well it went over with an actual audience,
instead of ourselves watching it over and over.
I can't believe the reaction it got from the audience...it
was just what we were hoping for, and more. If
you'd like to see the final version of "This is
Otakudom", you're gonna have to catch it at the
Otakon! Trust me, you won't be disappointed. :P
Like I said, I'll have more detailed Shoujocon report
tomorrow. To tide yourself over until then, check
out Vejjiechan's AX
report at her site, Dragonball
Kenkon! Oh yeah, "Kiko-chan's Ribbon"
is the funniest anime I have seen in a long while.
On with the update.
- The Alternative
Trunks Timelines Guide has been fixed.
That can be found in the Trunks Timelines page of the Info
section.
- Got two new Trunks
Wallpapers posted. :)

- I apologize for not having any content for today.
I've been working a real job, and planning an excursion
for this weekend. Which brings me to my babbling! Like
I mentioned the other day, I'll be going to Shoujocon
in East Brunswick, NJ on Saturday with Mike.
It's only $20 at the door, so if you live in the area,
give it a go. It's a nice small anime convention that'll
give ya something to do for the day. Any crap, I will
most likely be wearing a ToT shirt (if I make one in
time), so I shouldn't be too hard to find if you wanna
stop me to say "what's up". Also, since Mike
and I will be attending the music video contest, we'll
be waiting outside the music video screening room about
a half hour to an hour before the contest starts. So,
if you see two weird people making animal noises and
beating up the male cat mascot of the con, that's probably
us. If you go to the music video contest, be sure to
cheer me on! ^_^;; Mine's the Fushigi Yuugi "Again"
video (geez, like I haven't mentioned that enough times...:P)
Oh yeah, look for a girl wearing a CardCaptor Sakura
costume. That's my sister's friend Kim (she helped with
a Feature Film once), so I just wanted to plug her spiff
outfit. :) I shall return with many pictures from the
con for the next update. See ya!

- Today was my offical "Eeek, my in-box is
going to eat me. Better clean it out before it
gets me first" day. So, I have posted some
new Fan Mangas that I've been waiting on. Both
stories are entertaining, and very well-drawn.
I hope you'll like 'em.
- Also, a new winner and a new sentence are up
in the Random DBZ Fill in the Blank Contest.
- Randomness time. As you may have read
on Daizenshuu
EX, Mike and I will be attending Shoujocon
this Saturday. I figure the thing is 10 minutes
from my house, and I submitted my Fushigi
Yuugi music video, so I may as well see what's
up. I went to it last year and it was....ok...I'm
expecting it to stay the same, more or less. Anywho,
if you see me there (I'll give more details about it
as this week progresses), don't hesitate to come up
to me and chat. It'll be fun! Just beware
of my sly camera. Ya never know what it may do.
:P In other news, one of my fave new skool sites,
Nani, has a new host.
Give it a go. Plus, thanks for all (all, all,
ALL) of the feedback on the new music video! I
would like to bring up, however, that just because I
used *one* "hard" song does not mean I'll
use another in the future. This was a one-shot
deal! Enjoy it while it lasts! And, on an
ironic note, I used to get tons of e-mail from people
saying "make a Linkin Park video", and now
I'm getting "who is Linkin Park" e-mails.
Damned if I do, damned if I don't....:)
Sunday, 7/8/01
- The reason I haven't updated in the last
few days is all because of today's update. After
months of nagging e-mails from people wanting to make
a music video using a song by a particular group, I
have finally gone and done so. Now, don't get
the wrong idea. I'm not doing this because I wanted
people to shut up with their requests (ok, maybe that
was a small cause). I made today's new music
video because after listening to the song several times,
I determined that it would be wonderful for a Trunks
music video. OK, let's get down to it.
My new Music Video
is called "Traces of
Insanity", a Trunks music video, using
the song "Crawling" by Linkin Park.
I really didn't want to use a song by Linkin Park for
a music video, because the whole DBZ/Linkin Park video
thing is grossly over-done, but the song is just so
wonderful, and fits Trunks so nicely that I couldn't
resist. To put it simply, it's a video about how
nuts Trunks is in the head. To read my full-blown,
in-depth description of "Traces of Insanity",
There IS an MPEG
version of this video available, and I highly
recommend you download that version over the RealVideo
version. To me, this is the beginning of
my of "trying-to-not-make-DBZ-videos-that-suck"
stage. When it comes down to it, I hate most of
my Dragonball Z videos, and I have more fun making videos
to other animes. However, this is something I
am actually proud of, and I really hope you like it
as much as I loved making it. Feel free to send
me feedback if ya like. Enjoy!

- Huzzah, 4th of July! Ummm...I'm not doing
anything today, so I hope you all enjoy the day more
than I will. :) Here's a small update, though!
- I've added a new translated Trunks
Doujinshi. You can read it here.
'Tis a very cute story.
- Modified the Spanish part of the Trunks
Around the World section, so that translations
are now provided for the Mexican dub video clips.
Thanks David, for the translations.
- Other site news! DB
Vortex is back up, and Aku
no Nawabari has a new host.
