How DBZ Movies CAN Connect to the
Series

First off let me say that the Temple of Trunks is an
awesome site and it’s the funniest dbz site I ever
went to. Keep up the great work! Anyway I’ve been
hearing of people arguing about how dbz movies don’t
connect to the series at all. Some of them actually
do. Others you probably have to use your imagination
to figure out when the movie took place in the series,
why, and how. The movies that actually (or possibly)
took place somewhere in the series are movie 7 (bojack),
because its logical that it took place after the defeat
of Cell, movie 1 due to the garlic jr. saga and that
it takes place before the first episode of dragon ball
z (I suppose), and movie 13. Yes there is another editorial
saying that it doesn’t take place because of mirai
Trunks’ future. Well everyone who knows about that
future knows that sometime after Goku returned from
Namek, he died of a heart attack. Three years later
the androids arrive killing everyone. Even if the past
is
changed, it won’t change the future of mirai trunks,
it’ll only create another future as a result of
what happened in the past. Also movie 13 most logically
happened after the defeat of Buu, and the sword that
Tapion gave to chibi Trunks was used by Trunks in GT
(I suppose). The sword that Mirai Trunks uses; nothing
really special about it like Tapion’s sword. It’s
just a sword. Now for the rest of the movies. Like I
said before just use your imagination for these movies
on how, why, and when the movie took place. Here’s
my guess on how these movies could’ve taken place
(even though they could be way way WAY off).
Movie 12: It might’ve happened after the defeat
of Buu. Goku and Vegeta somehow died (possibly from
Mr. Buu getting drunk and going on a violent killing
spree 0_0) and they ended up in the afterlife. So then
they settled there for a while until they can be wished
back to life. And at the end, dragon balls to restore
them to life.
Movie 5 (Coola): Goku and everyone were training for
the androids. Then Coola arrived. The reason that Vegeta
didn’t come and help was because he was busy with
Bulma (0_0), so he didn’t feel much like helping.
I don’t know about Gohan’s tail, however.
Movie 6 (Metallic Coola): Everyone is still training
for the androids. Dende wants everyone to help the people
of new Namek. So they all went. That was when Vegeta
first turned Super-Saiyan. No one actually saw him turn
ssj besides Goku, so that’s why everyone was surprised
when he went ssj when he was fighting #19.
Movie 8 (Broily): Hmm…. Uh ok here goes. Everyone
was exhausted from further training against the androids
(sprit and time). So they all decided to take time off
and hang around. Then Paragus (Broily's father) came
to tell Vegeta about the Legendary Super Saiyan. He
completely forgets about the androids and goes with
Paragus, along with Mirai Trunks, Oo-Long, Krillin,
and Gohan 0_0. Yeah. That’s the best I can do for
this one.
Movie 10 (Return of Broily): Everyone is training for
the next Tenkaichi Budikai (sorry if I spelled it wrong).
During the training, Videl, Goten, and Trunks all go
to look for the dragon balls.
Movie 11 (Clone of Broily): Sometime after the last
Budikai, #18 goes to Mr. Sataan for the money he owes
her. Sometime after Goten, Trunks, and Krillin destroy
the clone of Broily, Goten and Trunks go to find their
fathers and Majin Buu.
There you have it. My two cents on how Dragon Ball
Z movies connect to the TV. Well even though there is
absolutely no way for some of these movies to connect
to the TV series at all or how I think they may connect,
at least I tried right? Well anyway, I know for sure
that movies 1, 9, and 13 all connect (maybe not 9) to
the TV series. The rest, like I said before, use your
imagination. Oh and for movies 2,3,4,and 7, I have no
idea how they can connect to the TV series.
