Kids Today. Ain't Got No Respect No More

Greeting, to Meri, and sibling.

My humble congratulations on the only page, (besides search pages and email) which I bother to visit more than twice a year. I find your site extremely interesting, and more to the point, vey humorous. I remember the first time I stumbled upon this site, about 7 months ago, and saw one of the Feature Films. (DBZ does Titanic) I couldn't stop laughing. At any rate, the point of this letter is not to praise your site, although it is certainly deserving, but to launch a retaliatory verbal assualt upon the idiots of the world, particularly the ones who are self-proclaiming anime gurus. These children, which I say since the type of person I am describing usually averages 13 yours old or so, have no respect.  The lack of respect includes, but is CERTAINLY not limited to webmasters and people who really DO care, and know things, and the show itself.  The problem is perhaps the children's lack of willingness to learn about things they do not already know. For instance, I have been made to endure the idiotic chatter of one such individual who insisted that Son Gokuo's KaiokenX 4 attack was the most powerful move on the show. Since he had not seen any Super Saiyajin episodes, he refused to understand that Son Gokuo got any stronger than a few hundred thousand. I meekly suggested that perhaps the Explosive Dragon Fist, cashing in at an impressive 188 million, (as seen in Movie 13: The Explosive Dragon Fist; If Gokuo Can't Do It, Who Can?) might indeed surpass the Kaioken. I was promptly ridiculed for even suggesting that anyone or anything might exceed the "awesome power of the Kaioken." I think the fallacy here should be pretty obvious by now. As a college student, and a guy who still loves cartoons (anime), I am not ashamed to admit that I enjoy watching, and collecting DB things, especially movies and music. I like to think that I know a few things about DB, but apparently my having actually seen (and owning) a healthy fraction of DB/ Z/ GT, has nothing to do with it. It has been suggested to me that many of these children know more than me, since I do not care to watch the NA version of the show much. (since it is edited beyond recognition, and translated VERY poorly) May I also put forward the idea that these children do not see the show for all it is. I have been told that DB is the greates action show of all time. First of all, it is NOT the best as far as action goes, and secondly, much of it is quite funny. They don't see episodes like the ending of the Cell series, and the enitire debacle of the four Kaoisamas arguing, and "god" deciding to have a martial arts tournament at Gokuo's behest. Since they have only seen the first saga in it's entirety, they automatically assume that (and basing this on BAD translating and editing) all of DB is Gokuo and Vegita glaring at eachother over the length of a valley. This is utterly absurd.   In conclusion, I would like to take the opportunity to sink to their level, perhaps, and point out that all of the people who don't appreciate great sites like this are SUBMORONS. (More sinking to their level) I don't know how your mother could afforf so much crack while she was pregnant with you, but I guess she managed it somehow. (Back to civilized, educated self.)
