Giving credit to those who deserve it

First of all, I'm not going to complain about anything right now. I'm going to do what the title of this editorial says. Put credit in its proper place. Now then, I'm doing this because in one or two of the editorials, who makes what seems to be a piece of information that wasn't properly told. One of the multitude of editorials said "just leave it to the people who make DBZ: FUNimation and Saban." I know that was cleared up in a response, but I'd like to make sure of it. The DBZ magna was made by Akira Toriyama (or Toriyama Akira, if you use the Japanese name system,) and the anime was also made by him with the assistance of Toei Animation and Bird Studios. GT wasn't made by Toriyama (I know this was cleared up too,) but rather Toei Animation got the rights to make another DB series without Toriyama.

Moving on, we get to the DBZ songs. Toriyama did not, in fact, make these. This credit goes to Hironobu Kageyama (or Kageyama Hironobu,) my favorite music artist (seeing as how I'm one of the 3, maybe 4, real Hironobu Kageyama fans in this country.) He worked on a multitude of other things (have any of you ever played "Mystical Ninja starring Goemon" [aka Ganbare Goemon 5] on the N64 and waited a while at the starting screen or unlocked the themes in the sound test section by beating the game? He made the theme song [not the Impact one, the other one],) but as far as my knowledge goes, he is best known for all the DBZ songs he made, a few of them being duets. Now then, I want to put a fairly large amount of what every other editorial has: opinions about DBZ. You can just skip over this part if you would like to. I personally prefer the original Japanese episodes (I watch them every week.) I do admit that the dubs started me off. As much as I hate it. I watched the dubs until the end of season 2. Back then, I liked it so much that I watched the reruns of the dub with as much joy as episodes I hadn't seen before. Then I looked for stuff about DBZ on the internet. Of course, I tried to find whatever info (among other things) I could. Not that long (though not that short either) of a time later, I accidentally discovered the Japanese episodes because there was nothing good on TV and I was just staring at the preview channel listings (that's how long ago it was: it was still the preview channel) and spotted the words (what else) Dragon Ball Z on the listings for the international channel. I quickly switched to it and realized they were speaking in Japanese. After that I went from watching both the dub and original episodes to watching the dub not as often, then to not watching the dub until season 3 came just to see how bad it was to absolutely banishing myself to watch the dub before all of season 3 of the dub was shown. Of course, my knowledge of the series evolved as time passed. Especially how I say and write the names. Of course, this is just my personal experience. But be aware that I have full knowledge that all people have different opinions, and even though I try to encourage people to get into what I like, I never make them and respect their personal opinions and views. That's all I have to say.
