Voices and the "Uninformed"
By Nichan
Yes, this is one of those sad editorials,
but I'd really like to get this out.
First of all, Vegeta's voice. I've heard
stuff like, "His voice is so crappy! He sounds
like a whimp." Personally, I like his second and
third series voice. The only thing that bugs me is that
it changes almost immediatly. Think about it. One episode
he's yelling in his second series voice, and the next
his voice has suddenly matured. It's like your brother
is speaking in his childs voice one minute, then the
next time he opens his mouth, he sounds ten years older!
Also Gohan's. I was watching an episode
I taped where Goku was telling Gohan to take Piccolo
back to his ship, leave, all that stuff. Anyways, I
was watching the Toonami midnight run for once, and
I turned off the tape and to DBZ. I noticed that Gohan's
voice changed. Not much, just
slightly. That's okay, since you hardly notice. Yes,
each episode I watched was when they were on Nameck.
Anyways, I like Gohan's voice. He actually sounds like
a boy.
Bulma's voice, no way. It goes from mature,
and then she sounds more high-pitched. Y'know, younger.
I observed that with the midnight run, also. Same with
Kamesennin (or however you spell it). He sounds younger
and more irritating.
Also, I've collected pictures of DBZ.
I've shown them to lots of DBZ fans at school, and almost
all of them have seen Trunks, Goten, Gogeta, Gotenks,
Pan, y'know, all the fourth series and up stuff, and
asked, "Who is that?" or "Who are they?".
I've explained, and some of them are visibly shocked
that Vegeta has a son. And with Bulma, no less. Anyways,
I think (and all of you who support FUNimation, don't
kill me, this is just an opinion) that there are too
many "uninformed" fans.
Well, I don't want to keep you here forever.
Thank you for letting me voice my opinion.
ToT forever,
NiChan
