FUNimation Editorial
By ErthGirl99
On Saturday, I went to the dentist. Big deal, right?
Actually, I say a six-year-old boy playing with a Vegita,
Goku, and Piccolo doll. I really didn't realize how
popular DBZ was getting with younger kids, so I spent
about twenty minutes watching him make them fight and
stuff. It sort of gets you thinking.
First of all, a ton of you won't admit it, but Funimation
introduced you to the whole Dragonball series. It did
for me. Later, I got fansubs and had the internet to
give me more information. Anyhow, you bash them for
editting it so much. The main reason is young kids watch
it.
Now if you are not going to be beaten you would say:
I don't go out an punch people. Well, welcome to America
where parents hardly raise their kids anymore and other
things such as schools, T.V.s, ect. do. My three year
old cousin watched an episode of the Powerpuff Girls
and kicked my aunt saying, "Powerpuff Girls kick,
so I can." Compared to DBZ, Powerpuff Girls isn't
that violent.
Still thinking of a rude comment? I'll give you some
more time. I babysit a lot, and yes I have a life. About
every boy and the occasional girl I take care of watches
Toonami and Sailor Moon and Dragonball Z are their favorites.
Let's say Funimation didn't edit one thing of DBZ. Okay,
a five year old kid would think it is okay to swear
and flick people off. Might sounds funny, but really
it isn't. America isn't old enough or easy going a lot
to let these things slip by.
If you prefer the original episodes compared to the
dub, (I do.) then disout the money for fansubs. I don't
enjoy it either, but the whole world doesn't revolve
around you. If you still have a snide comment, then
you are one of the reasons that the U.S. is they way
it is. A negative society that is selfish and needs
to grow up and get a life!
