Page Pirates, Annoying Visitors,
and the Slow Degradation of American Society
By Jedi521
First off, I'd like to say that none of you know me,
but I visit your web pages on a daily basis. It makes
my day when Vegeta Insane!! adds a new music video,
or when the Temple O' Trunks creates another messed
up "Feature Film" that gives me a good laugh.
Or even when VegettoEX updates me on the current situation
of the DBZ web community, or on the whole FUNimation
dub situation. Or all the great collected works in the
archives of Planet Namek.
I realize you all take the time out of your busy schedules
to keep we DBZ fans happy. But there's a problem with
that statement. You apparently DON'T keep these people
happy, no matter what you do. This is rather amazing
to me, as I am VERY pleased with all of your work, astounded
even. It pains me every time I see someone write "u
suk" to one of you guys. I believe American society
has gotten lazy, homophobic (hence the "You fagit"
or the more popular, "Your gay u fag"),and
on top of that, they don't know how to talk correctly,
or even make a complete thought anymore in the least.
Basic grammar is something they teach you in school,
(Believe me, my English teacher is a stickler for it)
and it should have stuck by at LEAST fourth grade, if
not sooner. I am only a sophomore, but I understand
your situation. I hate seeing you suffer through this,
but it seems correction is the only form of learning
this day and age. It's very sad when even Meri of Temple
O' Trunks has to add a mailbag of sorts to her page
(No offense, you just seem to be a very nice person,
and people shouldn't hate mail nice people, or women
especially, in my humble opinion).
When people accuse Castor Troy of "hiding behind
the watchers" it's stupid. The watchers have disbanded,
in case the fools haven't noticed. If the lazy ones
out there wouldn't steal, and just give criticism to
him, I'm sure he wouldn't have to closely guard HIS
images so critically. VegettoEX fits in this category
as well. He safeguards HIS images and files like a hawk.
It leaves my view why people would them to do so. You
guys shouldn't HAVE to do ANYTHING but work on your
pages and multimedia files, but you go the extra mile.
You find the pagem pirates, the ones with poor grammar,
atrocious spelling, and the children that don't know
any better, and teach them invaluable lessons. Weather
or not they take anything from that lesson is up to
them. Although most of them shall go down in Mailbag
history, a few of them come back and make half decent
web pages. (Statistically, very few).
Now that my points have been made, I would like to
just give you good round of applause for your hard work,
and to let you all know someone out there appreciates
your hard work and dedication to the series we all adore,
and can't peel our eyes away from. It's really given
me hope that a few of us might make this a good country
in the coming years after all. And now, I leave you
with one of my favorite quotes: "Never trust a
man's better nature, he may not have one at all."
