Easy Access: More Ro om For Stupid People

I've been doing a little musing lately. No, a lot of musing, actually, when browsing about the wasteland known as the AOL scene. What I came across was a wealth of stupidity. People typing "u" instead of you, "y" instead of why, and IAFHRU (I think it meant, "I am fine, how r u, feh.) and such intelligent statements as "U SUCK UR CAT'S *Ahem*. I began to wonder, where do all these stupid people come from? I walk down the street, I don't see people this dumb that often, maybe once in a while (particularly when driving,) when it finally hit me.

Back in the early days, before online was "trendy" or "cool" they're were too many people online and about. The few of us who did usually had more brain power then a gerbil (now that fact is debatable), so it wasn't a big deal, but it's the late 90s now. You are "behind the times" if you don't have the Internet, and why not? It's fast, it's easy, it provides with things nearly impossible to find. This goes out to the students with the Internet, stop and think. How much harder would school life be without the net?

However, all things come at a price. The answer to all these "newbies" running around, the page pirates, the email harassers, the general f*ckin' morons (as VegettoEX defined them). Is quite simple, the easier something is, the more stupid people can get a hold of it. Easy, ne? Well, let's start dissecting shall we?

First of all, I hate to say it, and you probably don't think it very often, but most of the newbies are most CERTAINLY under 12. I can safely say, about 90% of these idiotic hateful mails are just brats. This has been said with a touch of annoyance, but the fact is, it's true. When people get on the net, they become something they are not. The scrawny guy can tell people he's 7 ft tall, weighs 350 pounds, and can lift a Buick, and we as people don't know (an exaggeration). So of course, these kids, who honestly don't think of online people as "people" know FULL well that they can get away with whatever they want around here. Someone emails VegettoEX, Castor Troy, or Meri with someone hateful letter, what is the most they can do about it? Send a reply in anger, insulting them (which is not to say they aren't justified). They can't do anything about it, and the people KNOW that.

Which brings us to the "respect issue." To be quite honest, online-wise, it's dead. Kids couldn't care less what people think of them here. Most go on with friends just to impress them by cracking idiotic jokes. They think they're actually causing these people to become angry.

All right, this is getting a little long winded, and quite frankly, I could go on and on. Basic rule no. 1 you idiotic, bad-spelling, lifeless Newbie idiots. Get a clue, these people aren't getting paid for this, they're not doing this so YOU can take what THEY worked at and pretend it's yours. They're doing this because they want the world to see what they like, what they enjoy. Stop bugging them, stop harassing them, stop emailing them. They don't care what you have to say, and quite frankly, they don't WANT you to come to their sites (did I mention this was Newbies only)? Leave the Internet to us, because you're just one of the millions that we click the little "block" button for anyway.
